Job Title – Mortgage Underwriter
–Senior Associate/team lead/Assistant Manager
Location – Pune
Job Responsibilities
3+ years of experience in Mortgage
Underwriter. Knowledge of the full loan cycle with strong understanding of DU
and LP.
Strong verbal and written
communication with solid analytical skills.
Ability to resolve complex issues
while prioritizing and multitasking effectively.
Skilled in MS Office and working
across multiple systems and monitors.
Detail-oriented, customer-focused team
player with a positive, flexible attitude and night-shift availability.
Conduct quality control reviews of
closed mortgage loan files
Ensure underwriting decisions comply
with company, investor, and agency guidelines
Analyse borrower income, employment,
credit, DTI, and LTV ratios
Review property appraisals and assess
overall loan risk
Verify accuracy of supporting
documents including assets and reserves
Identify, document, and report loan
file errors or deficiencies
Confirm compliance with Fannie Mae,
Freddie Mac, and government programs
Review legal and title documents for
accuracy and completeness
Determine mortgage insurance (MI)
requirements and compliance
Meet service-level standards,
deadlines, and support internal QC processes
