Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Piping) – Chennai
Location: Chennai

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

Candidate with minimum 12 year of experience and relevant 8 years into Piping Design
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Highly skilled Piping Design Engineer with strong expertise in Autodesk Plant 3D and a solid background in mechanical design for industrial projects.
Hands-on experience in various piping and layout-related deliverables and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and review GA drawings, Equipment layouts, Foundation layouts, Piping routing, Piping Layouts, Piping Isometrics, Pipe Supports, Tank drawings, Platform, and structure drawings and BOQ using AutoCAD Plant 3D. Can read, understand and identify the P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
Coordinate with design, process, engineering, and site erection team.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, piping standards, drawing standards, project specifications and scope.
Support site team with design clarifications and resolve technical queries.
Prepare documentation and drawing deliverables for project milestones and client approvals.
Travel to project sites (~10%) for site supervision, and project coordination with site execution teams.
