Job description
Job Title: Japanese Translator
Location: Hyderabad

Translate technical, business,
legal, or general documents between Japanese and [English/Other Language] with
high accuracy.
Interpret during meetings,
conference calls, or presentations (verbal interpretation – optional based on
role).
Proofread and edit translated
materials to ensure consistency, clarity, and cultural appropriateness.
Work closely with cross-functional
teams (e.g., Engineering, HR, Marketing, Legal) to understand context and
terminology.
Maintain and update translation
memory tools, glossaries, and style guides.
Ensure deadlines are met while
maintaining high-quality output.
Handle sensitive or confidential
information with discretion and professionalism.
Proficiency in Japanese and
[English/Other language] (both written and spoken).
Certification in Japanese Language
Proficiency Test (JLPT) – N1 or N2 preferred.
Proven experience as a translator
or interpreter (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
Strong attention to detail and
excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
Familiarity with CAT
(Computer-Assisted Translation) tools is a plus.
Good organizational and time
management skills.
Ability to work independently and
in a team environment.
