Job Title: Assistant
Manager - Inbound Specialist
Location: Chennai
Candidate Expectation:
Candidate should have 8+ years of experience in
Transportation Inbound Scheduling.
Experience working with preparing and tracking orders
Must have Knowledge and experience working with DB
Visualizer, Power BI, SAS, SAP, SQL, Ariba, Esperion, PeopleNet
Job Responsibilities:
Utilizing logistics IT to optimize shipping and transport
procedures
Plan and supervise the shipments from DC to Store and store
to DC
Schedule daily and weekly routes
Scheduling transportation services for smooth operations.
Ensuring logistics operations
conform to industry regulations
Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and
equipment to ensure they meet
needs
Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and
tracking software)
Coordinate with Warehouse Workers to ensure proper storage
and distribution of products.
Monitor and report on transportation costs
Ensure shipping documents are properly filed.
Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation
vehicles and equipment.
Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods.
Conduct regular safety audits on equipment.
Organize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of
machines and handling of
hazardous material)
Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed
orders.
Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping
legislation.
Stay up to date with safety regulations.
Should be flexible in shifts.
