Job description
Job Title: Background Verification – Associate/Senior Associate/Process Lead
Location: Mumbai
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate should have 2+ years of experience in Background verification.
Proven experience in background verification, HR
administration, or related roles
Familiarity with legal and compliance requirements related
to employment screening
Prior experience working with background screening vendors.
Demonstrate ability and integrity when working with
confidential data
Good communication (verbal and written), organizational, and
coordination skills
Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, or background screening software.
Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Initiate, track, and complete background checks (employment
history, education verification, criminal records, credit checks, etc.) for new
hires and existing employees.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of
all background verification activities in HR systems.
Ensure all background checks adhere to legal and company
standards, including GDPR and other relevant regulations
Serve as the point of contact for candidates, employees, and
internal teams regarding background check processes.
Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues arising
during the verification process.
Implement and uphold company policies related to background
screening and data privacy.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve
efficiency within the background verification workflow
Liaise with third-party background screening agencies to
ensure timely and accurate completion of verifications.
