Job description
Job Title – SCM Transportation
Coordinator Specialist-
Job Responsibilities
5+ years of experience in supply chain
operations, vendor compliance, procurement support, or related functions.
Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI,
SQL, and/or Python.
Understanding of supply chain
systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, planning tools).
Experience creating trackers,
performance reports, and analytical insights.
Strong communication and stakeholder
management skills.
Experience with BI tools and data
analysis platforms preferred.
Experience in domestic/US
transportation operations or transportation analysis preferred.
Prior exposure to carrier management,
TMS systems, and logistics coordination is an advantage
Shipment Planning & Execution Plan
and schedule inbound, outbound, and transfer shipments; build loads, select
modes (TL/LTL/Parcel), and manage appointments to meet capacity, routing, and
delivery requirements.
Carrier Coordination & Service
Compliance Tender freight to contract carriers, manage pickup and delivery
execution, ensure SLA and routing guide compliance, and resolve delays,
rejections, and service exceptions.
Real-Time Visibility & Issue
Management Track shipments through TMS and carrier portals, provide ETA
updates, manage dwell/detention, and escalate operational disruptions to
protect service levels.
Performance Analysis & Cost
Optimization Monitor on-time performance, freight costs, carrier utilization,
and lane efficiency; perform root-cause analysis and recommend optimization and
consolidation opportunities.
Reporting, Compliance & Systems
Support Deliver key transportation metrics and performance reports, ensure
accurate documentation and audit readiness, and maintain TMS configurations and
process improvements.
