Job description
Job Title : Security
Settlement Operations – AGM – Chennai
Candidate Expectations
& Responsibilities :
Experience range of 15 – 20 years in Security Settlements & Operations
and should have managed a span of 200+
The role requires management of end-to-end processing of securities,
derivatives, and cash transactions, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant
settlement and post settlement activities.
Key responsibilities include mitigating operational risk, managing
counterparty risks, driving automation and leading teams to meet stringent
daily market deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the operations and settlement teams to ensure smooth and
efficient processing of trades, settlements, and corporate actions.
Oversee post settlement activities involving suspense, reconciliation of
positions and cash balances to ensure accurate processing, timely resolution
and escalation.
Collaborate with other departments, including sales and trading, middle
office amongst many others.
Maintain effective communication with brokers, custodians and clearing
houses.
Develop procedures and controls to effectively mitigate risks.
Assess and evaluate operational performance indicators to determine
opportunities for enhancement and execute appropriate corrective measures.
Overseeing the daily business
and administrative operations and improving operating procedures for optimal
efficiency
Assessing and enhancing the
efficiency of internal and external operational processes
Leading and motivating staff
to achieve organizational objectives
Overseeing the recruitment
process to attract the best candidates and reduce employee turnover
Mentoring and inspiring
employees to key into the vision of management
Establishing policies that
improve and promote account vision and culture
Evaluating company
performance and recommend strategies to improve results
Collaborating with management
and other stakeholders to raise capital and carry out other business-expanding
strategies
Proven experience in a senior
executive role
In-depth understanding of the
industry and the workings of different departments of a company, including
finance, recruitment and human resources
Excellent leadership and
organizational skills
Outstanding written and oral
communication skills
Strategic planning and
business development
Must be flexible with shifts
as per requirement of client
