Senior DNS Server Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior DNS Server Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our DNS servers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DNS server administration, Linux, routing and switching, and network load balancing.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain DNS servers to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Configure and troubleshoot DNS server software, including BIND and other DNS server applications.
  • Implement and manage DNS server security measures to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Monitor and analyze DNS server logs to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless integration with other network devices and systems.
  • Develop and implement load balancing strategies to optimize DNS server performance.
  • Troubleshoot DNS server issues and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest DNS server technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in DNS server administration, Linux, routing and switching, and network load balancing.
  • Strong knowledge of DNS server software, including BIND and other DNS server applications.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS.
  • Understanding of routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Knowledge of network load balancing techniques and technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex DNS server issues and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
