Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative,
detail-oriented, and proactive Internal Communications Content Writer and
Editor to develop, edit, and deliver high-quality communications across
internal channels. The role will create and refine employee emails, newsletters,
intranet/SharePoint content, presentations, leadership materials, program
updates, blogs, articles, and campaign communications.
The role will partner with
writers, designers, program owners, HR, and cross-functional stakeholders to
develop clear, engaging, and audience-focused communications. The successful
candidate will manage multiple priorities within agreed SLAs, maintain strong
content governance and version control, and use employee feedback and
engagement insights to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
Skill Set
Write, edit, proofread, and
polish employee communications, including emails, newsletters, intranet
articles, presentations, leadership materials, and program updates.
Rewrite stakeholder-drafted
content with quick turnaround while maintaining version control and managing
feedback and approval cycles.
Apply internal style guides,
editing checklists, plain-language principles, accessibility standards, and
factual accuracy requirements.
Maintain and update
intranet/SharePoint pages and publish and distribute content across internal
channels.
Conduct research, gather
inputs from subject-matter experts, and document sources and decisions for
accurate, audit-ready content.
Maintain content libraries,
templates, communication calendars, publishing schedules, and a single source
of truth for reusable assets.
Develop strong headlines, key
messages, narratives, taglines, and calls to action.
Support pre-, during-, and
post-event communications, including town halls, leadership events, annual
programs, and internal campaigns.
Partner with designers to
develop clear, accessible, and user-friendly communications and perform basic
usability and accessibility checks.
Collaborate with stakeholders
to clarify briefs, align objectives, consolidate feedback, and minimize rework.
Manage multiple requests
through structured intake, prioritization, and SLA-driven workflows, escalating
risks proactively.
Track engagement signals and
qualitative feedback and apply insights to improve content, messaging, and
communication cadence.
Support leadership and change
communications, including executive storytelling, talking points, speaker
notes, briefs, organizational change, and transformation messaging.
Develop communications
related to employee engagement, culture, employee experience, change, M&A,
policies, business continuity, and trust and transparency.
Use Microsoft 365,
SharePoint/intranet, Teams, and other digital publishing and collaboration
tools; leverage emerging technologies, including GenAI, to improve content
workflows.
Core Competencies

communications strategy, communication architecture, message governance, and

Strong experience in
leadership, executive, change, transformation, M&A, and employee
communications, including town halls, talking points, and senior leadership
messaging.
Exceptional content
development and editorial skills, including writing, copyediting, proofreading,
storytelling, plain-language writing, headline creation, and content quality
assurance.
Proven ability to drive
employee engagement, employee experience, culture, two-way communications,
internal campaigns, and event communications.
Strong stakeholder management
and cross-functional collaboration skills, with expertise in communication
planning, content governance, SLA-driven delivery, SharePoint/intranet,
Microsoft 365, Teams, and GenAI-enabled workflows.
