4. Detailed Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Associate Vice President (AVP) in Financial Planning & Analysis (FPNA) with a strong focus on Revenue Recognition to join our finance team in Bangalore and Mumbai. The role will lead the FPNA function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with US GAAP, and effective revenue recognition practices. The ideal candidate will have 14-20 years of progressive experience in FP&A, accrual accounting, and revenue recognition, and will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, P&L management, and deferred revenue accounting.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the FPNA function across Bangalore and Mumbai offices.
  • Develop and maintain accurate revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee accrual accounting processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for the organization.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Manage P&L statements and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Handle deferred revenue accounting and related reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members.
Requirements
  • 14 to 20 years of progressive experience in FP&A, FPNA, revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and US GAAP.
  • Deep knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, P&L, and deferred revenue.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven leadership experience in a finance function.
  • Ability to work effectively in both Bangalore and Mumbai locations.
