4. Detailed Job Description
Role Overview
The Engineer – LWH Maintenance will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance activities for vehicles, with a specific focus on fire vehicles and heavy vehicles. The role will involve preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, safety compliance and ensuring vehicle availability with minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of mechanical equipment, specifically vehicles.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Ensure proper alignment, balancing, lubrication and calibration of mechanical systems.
  • Oversee welding, fabrication and mechanical repair activities as required.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor vehicle/equipment performance using vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis and other predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining maintenance SOPs and equipment/vehicle history records.
  • Execute maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in risk assessments, Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes and safety audits.
  • Monitor spare parts and optimize inventory costs while ensuring availability of critical components.
  • Support installation, commissioning and testing of new mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and service vendors for repair and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance activities and maintain proper documentation.
