4. Detailed Job Description
JD:
The AGM – Corporate Affairs will be responsible for driving
the organization's corporate affairs, government relations, policy advocacy
and regulatory engagement within the energy sector. The role will involve
representing the organization before government bodies, regulatory authorities
and industry forums while monitoring policy and regulatory developments
impacting the business.
Corporate Representation & Policy Advocacy
- Represent
the organization in central-level industry forums, working groups and
policy roundtables related to power and renewable energy.
- Act
as a key point of contact for external stakeholders on policy and
regulatory matters.
- Develop
and drive strategic policy advocacy initiatives aligned with
organizational interests.
- Prepare
briefing notes, policy papers, presentations and communication materials
for senior management.
- Support
senior leadership in engagements with policymakers and government
authorities.
Government & Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise
with key central government ministries such as Power, Renewable Energy,
Environment & Forest, and Finance.
- Develop
and maintain relationships with senior bureaucrats, policymakers and other
policy influencers.
- Establish
strong working relationships with the Ministry of Environment, Forest
and Climate Change (MoEFCC) in relation to renewable energy projects
and sustainability regulations.
- Track
government policies, notifications and regulatory developments impacting
the energy sector.
- Communicate
relevant policy changes internally and facilitate timely organizational
responses.
Regulatory Coordination
- Interface
with Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and other
central regulatory authorities.
- Represent
company positions before regulatory bodies and respond to regulatory
queries.
- Coordinate
regulatory submissions, filings and consultations.
- Monitor
regulatory developments and identify potential risks and opportunities for
the organization.
- Work
with Legal and Strategy teams to formulate policy recommendations and
regulatory responses.
Approvals & Environmental Clearances
- Facilitate
environmental clearances and statutory approvals required for green
energy initiatives and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate
with environmental, climate and other relevant government agencies.
- Monitor
approval timelines and facilitate resolution of issues affecting project
execution.
- Ensure
effective coordination between internal project teams and external
authorities.
Strategic Corporate Affairs
- Build
and maintain strong relationships with government, regulatory and industry
stakeholders.
- Support
the organization's strategic positioning within the energy sector.
- Drive
stakeholder engagement and goodwill-building initiatives.
- Support
crisis management and resolution of critical stakeholder issues.
- Identify
regulatory and policy risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
