4. Detailed Job Description
·        Responsible for round-the-clock (24x7) monitoring and execution of Power Trading operations on a shift basis, ensuring uninterrupted support across all days of the year, including weekends and holidays. Mandatory requirement.
·        Managing operational activities for all power market products of every exchange within timelines including:
·        Handling bilateral power transactions, including scheduling, rescheduling, revisions, curtailments, and real-time coordination with RLDCs, SLDCs, generators, DISCOMs, and other stakeholders.
·        Processing and monitoring Open Access and Bilateral Applications to ensure timely approvals and compliance with regulatory requirements. Well verse with all the trades (DAM/GDAM/RTM/TAM/REC/etc.) on all the PX platforms. Execution of Bilateral REC transaction.
·        Providing continuous operational support for transaction execution, schedule management, grid compliance, and contingency handling in a 24x7 control room environment.
·        Preparing shift-wise operational reports, MIS reports, market updates, and management dashboards for effective monitoring and decision-making.
·        Managing power trading portfolio operations, including contract execution, schedule tracking, transaction monitoring, and settlement coordination.
·        Handling operational activities related to Gas Trading through the Indian Gas Exchange (IGX), including bid submission, trade confirmation, nomination, scheduling, and coordination with counterparties.
·        Ensuring adherence to CERC regulations, Grid Code provisions, Power Exchange procedures, and internal operational protocols. Familiarity with protocols during tripping of generating stations as per Grid Code.
·        Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain seamless operations and timely resolution of operational issues during assigned shifts.
