Costing Manager - Product Costing
The client is seeking an experienced Costing Manager – Product Costing to lead cost management initiatives for its product portfolio in the Delhi NCR region. The role requires deep expertise in product cost management, VAVE, value analysis, value engineering, cost analysis, cost optimization, supplier costing, commercial evaluation, and cost tracking. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive cost‑saving projects, and provide accurate cost forecasts and reports.
Responsibilities
  • Lead product cost management initiatives across the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain cost models, perform cost analysis, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Conduct VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) studies to reduce cost while maintaining performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Finance) to gather cost data and validate cost assumptions.
  • Perform supplier costing analysis and commercial evaluation to support sourcing decisions.
  • Track cost performance against budgets and forecasts, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in cost tracking processes and tools.
  • Mentor and train junior cost analysts.
Requirements
  • 12-18 years of experience in product costing, cost analysis, and cost optimization.
  • Strong expertise in product cost management, VAVE, value analysis, value engineering, cost tracking, supplier costing, and commercial evaluation.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and value engineering projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment.
  • Proficiency in cost analysis tools and MS Office suite.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or consumer goods industry preferred.
