Description
7–10
years of overall infrastructure experience with strong hands-on experience in
Nutanix administration.
Expertise
in Nutanix AOS, Prism Central, Prism Element, cluster administration, alerts,
and health checks.
Hands-on
experience with Nutanix Lifecycle Manager (LCM), including planning and
executing upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
Strong
understanding of Nutanix distributed storage concepts, including Controller VM
(CVM), replication factor (RF), storage containers, compression, deduplication,
and erasure coding.
Experience
managing virtual machines on AHV and/or VMware ESXi on Nutanix, including
provisioning, templates, cloning, resource allocation, and optimization.
Knowledge
of HCI networking fundamentals, including VLANs, IP planning, DNS, NTP, MTU,
LACP, bonding, and basic routing troubleshooting.
Strong
troubleshooting skills across virtualization, storage, and networking, with
experience in root-cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and preventive
actions.
Experience
managing backup, disaster recovery, snapshots, replication, protection domains,
and DR readiness.
Proficiency
in ITIL processes, including incident, problem, change, and knowledge
management.
Experience
with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, SCOM,
Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK.
Hands-on
experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms for incident, change,
problem, knowledge, and CMDB management.
Experience
with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash; exposure to
REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform is beneficial.
Ability
to lead L3 incident resolution, mentor L1/L2 engineers, coordinate with
cross-functional teams, and maintain operational documentation.
