Description:
The HRIS
Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end support, configuration,
governance, and continual improvement of the Workday platform. This role spans
operational support, advanced troubleshooting, configuration design, release
management, and advisory partnership with HRBPs globally, Group Rewards, HR
Shared Services and Payroll. The incumbent serves as both a technical expert
and a functional advisor, ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, process
efficiency and alignment with enterprise standards and templates.
Key
Responsibilities
Operational Support
L1 Support
Perform basic troubleshooting
Support UAT activities.
Maintain knowledge base documentation including FAQs,
QRGs (Quick Reference Guide) and SOPs.
Provide communication support for system updates and
changes.
L2 C L3 Troubleshooting
Conduct deep triage of complex cross-module Workday
issues.
Perform root cause analysis across configuration,
integrations, and user processes.
Reproduce issues in sandbox environment.
Implement configuration fixes, data corrections,
workarounds, and preventive controls.
Workday Configuration s System Build
Configure and maintain business processes, condition
rules, validations, notifications, eligibility rules, and routing logic.
Develop and maintain complex calculated fields used
for eligibility, reporting, and security.
Design, update, and troubleshoot reports and
dashboards.
Build and govern EIB templates including validation
rules, field mapping, and upload sequencing.
Workday Release Management (R1 s R2)
Review release notes and conduct detailed impact
assessments.
Recommend feature enablement decisions aligned to
policy and risk.
Define regression testing scope and strategy.
Develop and execute UAT scripts across global
stakeholders.
Coordinate cross-functional testing participation.
Implement configuration updates related to releases.
New Business Unit Onboarding
Lead requirements discovery and translate into Workday
design.
Support configurations, reporting, and data migration,
if applicable.
Manage testing, cutover, and hyper care.
Provide change management and training support.
Roadmap s Enhancements
Translate release changes into business impact and
adoption plans.
Prioritize HRIS enhancements based on value, risk, and
effort.
Maintain alignment with enterprise technology
strategy.
Other Experience s Competencies
3+ years of HR Information systems experience (e.g.
Min. 3 years in Workday and PeopleSoft).
Hands-on configuration experience across Absence,
Benefits and Talent Management modules.
Strong understanding of business process framework,
calculated fields, reporting, EIB, and security.
Experience managing global release cycles and UAT
coordination.
Strong functional HR knowledge, with the ability to
understand HR policies and ways of working and translate them into system
configuration.
Strong stakeholder management supporting global and
regional users, with familiarity in managing country-specific requirements.
Familiar with multi-country governance standards and
cross-country complexities.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Able to quickly grasp new concepts, projects, and
system functionalities, and adapt effectively in a fast-paced environment.
