VP - Regulatory & Contracts (Power Sector)

Location

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the power sector.
• Manage and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with various stakeholders, including government agencies, private companies, and other organizations.
• Provide expert guidance on contract governance, ensuring that all contracts are properly executed, monitored, and enforced.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, commercial, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of regulatory and contractual obligations.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory policies and laws, and advise the organization on potential impacts and opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum 20 years of experience in regulatory affairs management, PPA management, power purchase agreements, contract negotiation, and contract governance in the power sector.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and laws governing the power sector in India.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex contracts and regulatory issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
